Certified EV charger installation across Greater Austin. Load calculation, permit and utility notification, and a proper conduit route, not an extension cord through the mail slot.
Move the sliders. This uses your real mileage and your real rate, including the off-peak rate most people don't switch to until after the charger is in.
One visit, one electrician, usually done before lunch. Here's the order it happens in so nothing is a surprise.
Ten minutes on a call. We look at your board, your meter position and where the car sits. We tell you the price on that call.
The city and your utility get the paperwork, not you. If your service panel needs upgrading we find out now, not on install day.
New dedicated circuit from the board, clipped or buried on an agreed route. We agree every clip position with you before drilling.
Loop and GFCI tests, the app set up on your phone with your off-peak schedule, and the certificate emailed the same evening.
Includes up to 30 ft of conduit, the panel breaker, testing and permit. If your run is longer we quote the extra footage before we book, not after.
Nearly always, yes. We do a load calculation against your main breaker, usually 100, 150 or 200 A, and if it's tight we fit load balancing so the charger backs off when the oven and shower are on rather than tripping the lot.
Sometimes. It depends on where your meter is and whether the cable route crosses common parts. We'll tell you honestly on the survey call if it's not going to work, and we won't charge you for finding out.
Then we won't sell you a charger. Running a cable across a public sidewalk isn't something we'll install. We can point you at the city's curbside charging program instead.
Yes, and we'd encourage it. Level 1 cords pull 12 A continuously through an outlet that was never designed for it, and we see the scorched backs of them constantly.
